Training works when it rests on sports science, data analysis and a plan built for one person. Talent and luck only carry you so far. Your goal might be a Kona slot, a personal best, or a first triathlon finished safely. Either way, I start by looking at where your training stands today and how many hours you can realistically find in a week, and the plan follows from there.

Behind top age-group results  More than 20 athletes have qualified for the IRONMAN World Championship under my coaching, and 3 have gone under 9:00 at the full distance (226 km).
Support for working athletes  Efficient plans that fit a real weekly schedule, so age-group triathletes can keep work and family going and still finish a full distance injury-free.

Areas of Expertise

IRONMAN U Certified Coach

IRONMAN® Certified Coach

IRONMAN and 70.3 racing sits among the hardest endurance events there are. For a race abroad I build the course plan and the power strategy with you: how to handle an unfamiliar climate, what to rehearse in training beforehand, and exact pacing targets for the bike and the run. That takes most of the guesswork out of racing away from home, so on race day you only have to execute.

STRYD Running with Power

Running Power Specialist

I have studied and coached running power since 2016, and I was among the first coaches in the Asia-Pacific region to earn STRYD Run with Power Level 2 certification. The athlete who finished the 2019 IRONMAN World Championship (Kona) in 9:01:29 trained with a power meter. He paced the day well enough to run a 3:05 marathon and move from 21st to 5th in his age group, becoming the first athlete of Chinese descent to stand on an IRONMAN World Championship podium.

My Own Racing

I still race, and I keep testing the same system on myself. At the 2026 Challenge Taiwan full distance (226 km) I set a personal best of 09:15:17 and finished 2nd overall. At 2023 IRONMAN Austria I qualified for the World Championship and earned Gold All World Athlete status. Full race results →

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the online coaching service, and about how we would work together.

How does the online coaching work?
You start with the application form. I review it myself and talk with you about where your training stands and what you want. Once we agree on the direction, coaching begins. From then on you get a plan written for you each week in TrainingPeaks, which syncs to your watch, and I analyse your training data, give feedback and keep adjusting.
I’m a beginner with no race experience. Can I still work with you?
Yes. I coach first-timers, age-group racers and professionals. The plan is built around your current level and your goal, and it builds up gradually so you get to the finish line safely.
What equipment do I need?
A GPS sports watch is enough to start. A bike power meter, a smart trainer and a running power meter (STRYD) make the numbers more precise, but none of them are required. For swimming you need a pool or open water you can use regularly.
Do I have to use a power meter?
On the bike I recommend one, because it makes intensity much easier to control. Without one we train by heart rate. For running, pace or power both work, and I adjust to the equipment you already own.
Work keeps me busy, with overtime and travel. Can I keep up?
The plan is adjusted every week around your schedule and how your body is responding. When overtime or a trip comes up without warning, I rewrite that week within 24 hours so work, family and training all still fit.
How much time does a training week take?
It depends on your goal and the time you can commit, anywhere from 5 hours a week to more than 20. The application asks how many hours you have, and I design the most efficient plan for that number.
Which platform do you use, and can you coach me from another country?
Triathlon and cycling run mainly on TrainingPeaks, running mainly on RunningQuotient, and the workouts sync to your watch. Location and time zone make no difference to the training or the communication. My athletes are in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and China.
What does it cost, and how do I pay?
Coaching is a monthly subscription. Paying six months up front takes 8% off, and a full year takes 12% off. Payment is by credit card (charged automatically each month), bank transfer, FPS (轉數快), Easy Transfer (過數易) or stablecoin.
Do I have to pay as soon as I apply?
No. The review and the conversation always come first. Payment details follow once we both agree that the fit and the direction are right.
Can I cancel at any time? Are there refunds?
A credit-card subscription can be cancelled at any time and the next month is not charged. There are no refunds, but you can pause. If you get injured, work gets heavy or something else comes up, stop for a while and pick the training back up any time within a year.
Is the training safe?
I give intensity guidance and safety rules based on your current condition. Every sport carries risk, so if you have a cardiovascular condition or an injury that has not healed, please see a doctor before joining.

Let me start by seeing where your training is right now. The goal can be a first triathlon finish or a World Championship podium.
